I have enjoyed fine art and crafts for many years. Below is a pictures of one of personal American Indian style mandalas I have done for clients made with elk skin as the base. I also painted birdhouses that were actually a faeiry house with runes and words of welcome. For a while I was also building table top fountains with rock towers and crystals on them. Now my hands don't work well enough to create these things anymore but I found that I can still be creative using a mouse and computer. Having to learn a new career opened a whole new world of creativity for me.

Many members of my family are artists in their own right. My mother has been an expert seamstress all her life and creates some of the most beautiful clothing and Quilts. Every member of our family has one or more of their own quilts to cherish forever. Some lucky non-family members have some of their own too. This is but a small sampling of her beautiful work. The large Christmas quilt is available for sale. Just click on the image to get more details.

My Aunt creates intricate American Indian style Spirit Patches and below are images of the ones currently available for purchase. Many hours go into sewing the tiny seed beads into place and each patch has it's own special meaning.

"Spirit Patches" by Patty Rose

After Studying American Indian Art for many years, I came to a point in my life when the spirit of their work inspired me. Therefore I call my unique handcrafted artwork 'Spirit Patches" Each color combination of beads is selected for the uniqueness of the design bringing a spiritual release of tension, opening the way to clearer understanding and love.

They can be framed for display or basted on Jackets or other clothing. and should be removed for garment cleaning and then re-attached. I suggest using velcro for attaching them to make this easier. By clicking on any image below you can see the larger closer to actual scale of size for each "Spirit Patch"

Recently I became interested in collecting gemstones. I quickly discovered that if I wanted to get and keep the ones I want, I needed to find a way to have this hobby generate its own income. I started selling gemstone jewelry, beaded jewelry, and loose gemstones, and scented oils with a gemstone inside the bottles at a local farmers market. I also started selling at my booth bookmarks I designed and hope to eventually sell large prints of some of my other digital art. Please visit my Gemstones page to fine out more!
