have always loved whales and dolphins (except for Flipper on TV- He
just talked too much!) They are fascinating creatures and I had the
rare opportunity to see the baby gray whale that lived at Sea World
in San Diego for awhile. When she swam by the glass barrier
where I was standing I got a good look at her eye looking at me. I started
to cry. It was like seeing the soul of the world there in one small
space. I also remember as a young person in California visiting Japanese
Gardens where they had lagoons that connected to each other with bridges
over the connections. The lagoons had dolphins in them and they would
sometimes pick out certain people and follow them. They would look at
you and talk to you if you stopped on the bridges. The gardens no longer
exist but while they did they got me hooked on dolphins.
Some day I hope to have the opportunity to spend some time interacting
with dolphins and whales up close in their natural environment. That
would be the vacation of a lifetime! In ther future this page will have
