Psychic Readings |

I have done psychic readings for over eight years now. I use a method called psychometry. I hold an object belonging to the person wanting the reading and begin to get impressions from it. Usually the first feelings I get are very physical, such as a feeling of being pushed or pulled in a particular direction. Then I will start to see images and get messages to pass on. I will tell what I see and whatever words or impressions are coming through. Sometimes the person has a particular question they want an answer to, but I am being guided to tell them about something else. Many times we have problems and think they come from one source, when actually there are other areas of our lives we are not addressing that are really the source of our difficulties. I feel that I'm being directed by the powers that be (whether it's God, the Goddess, or the Universe sending the message, I leave up to you to decide) to help the person to adjust their focus to where it may need to go to find an answer. |
| I also use Tarot cards for readings and find them a very useful tool. Rather then have the client cut the cards, I place them spread out and face down. I then ask my client to run his hand along the cards about two inches above them. As he or she gets any kind of feeling or sensation above the card they are to pull them until all ten cards are chosen. I have found the cards to be amazingly accurate for divination when the client has personally lent their energy to this very direct selecting method. Anyone interested in using Tarot cards would be well served to find and read many different books on their history and use. Sometimes a reading can be very long and involved, but there are times when in five minutes I know I've told the person all I am supposed to. You never know with each person if that will happen. A reading is done when it's done. | ![]() |

I
have also over time learned to be very careful about what you say based
on what you are "seeing" You may get a vision but it may not
be the whole picture. If you try too hard to come up with a specific
answer for that person based on what you see you could be making a mistake.
An example I think would be how many times the visions of prophets or
psychics were taken at face value without think about the times they
lived in. If in ancient times let's say a psychic had a vision of a
modern jet flying through the air and dropping a layer of carpet bombs
on a mountain leveling it, or a nuclear weapon exploding what would
he think?. Obviously to that person it could look and sound like the
end of the world. To them it would because they have no understanding
of jet aircraft or bombs or just how large the world really is. They
can only use the words and vocabulary of their times. On more then one
occasion I have seen something in a reading for a friend that I interpreted
to mean they would be experiencing some strange event in the future.
They were outside seeing a warehouse in the middle of nowhere lit up with some kind of flashing lights and strange sounds coming from it. Upon looking inside there was a large circular medal ring with strange writing on it. The ring was a door of sorts to another dimensions and it was hidden in a warehouse that had been built around it to keep people and animals from accidentally going through it. Was this a weird future even this person might experience? Or was it, much to my chagrin years later, a more simple experience? A movie came out called Stargate and then later the TV series Stargate came out. I watched amazed at the how very much like what I saw in that vision was appearing as a story line in a movie and then television show. My vision about this person I interpreted could very well have been them in a dark theater or room watching the Stargate movie or the TV show. I am much more careful about just telling what I am seeing or feeling when doing a reading and let the client take from it what they can. I must note however that I have talked with people I had done readings for in the past who have told me sometimes years later that the reading I gave them did help them deal with their situation at that time or helped them deal with a future event in their lives. You can get a very good feeling from that. It makes you try harder to really use the gift given you to help others. |
| I
have some very wonderful acquaintances who do readings that I know have
helped me and others and I have learned much from them because of the
grace and humbleness they have regarding their gift. Obviously however
there are many supposed psychics out there that do more to hurt then
good and give everyone with a true ability a bad reputation. Which leads
me to the following story. If you're willing to tackle it I'd appreciate
any feedback good or bad you may have to offer. For a very short period of time I was a phone psychic. I was able to give readings over the phone, but I truly missed the one on one contact and exchange of energy that comes from a personal reading. I have nothing against being paid for a reading either. What I was bothered by was that the company I worked for (the middleman so to speak) was charging its customers a very large amount of money per minute and I was receiving very little. The even balance of energy was not there, and a rather invisible entity in-between was making an enormous amount of money off both the customer and myself. The company constantly "encouraged" me to keep people on the line for as long as possible to make sure they had a "good reading". They also used what I would call a "Bait and Switch" tactic. I would get many calls from people who were expecting to reach a particular psychic. I assumed they had reached me in error. They would all say they had received either a letter or a message telling them that their personal psychic had important new information about a personal problem of theirs. I would tell these people that I would take their name and number, and contact the company about having their personal psychic get back to them. When I would call the company and tell them about the confusion, they repeatedly alluded to the idea that I should just encourage the person to talk to me, and not worry about who the persons personal psychic was. Many of these people, they told me, were addicted to calling phone psychics and would call many different ones a month. I began to realize this was just a way to get these people to call again and spend more money. There really is no way of knowing if anyone else is listening on the phone lines. There
really is no way of knowing if anyone else is listening on the phone
lines. It would be very easy for a company to gather up information
and use it in a phone message or letter, to entice these people to call.
I began to feel like I was helping a drug dealer supply his customers. This
company had a very high turnover rate of psychics and I believe it's
for a number of reasons. The people who call these lines are not all
the pretty, well-dressed, happy people you see on the TV psychic shows.
Many people who call have very serious problems including marital, financial,
and drug addictions. Some were in serious trouble with their violent
spouses over the fact they spend so much money on telephone calls (guess
to who?) I can help these people to a degree but many times the
advice I wanted to give them was to hang up the phone and spend their
money on food for their children, or for bettering their education,
or therapy. I began to understand why there was such a high turnover
of psychics. Every phone call wrenches your heart. You can only help
so much and then the rest is up to that person. If they call and only
want to hear what they want to hear and not what they need to hear...
how much are you really helping by keeping them on the line a long time
to make sure they get a "good reading"? I believe there are alot of very good phone psychics out there who are helping people, but I've had such an overwhelming feeling of dread about the proliferation of all these phone psychic networks. There was a very large imbalance of negative energy building in the universe. |
| When it decides
to shrug its shoulders and shake off this imbalance, alot of legitimate
psychics are going to be hurt in the backlash, if they don't back
away from doing business this way. Now you see very few advirtising compared to the past. People who feel the need to see a psychic would be better served to go to a local one in their area and speak with them in person. That even exchange of energy will be there, and in most cases the cost to the client will be far less. The reader will also make a more reasonable amount for this very personal and spiritual service. And that's a word you very rarely see used on those infomercials about phone psychic readings. Spirituality no matter what the religion or belief is the most important thing. I believe a one on one visit creates an atmosphere much more suited for that. I would however warn anyone who feels the need to speak with a psychic use some common sense and caution. Anyone that tells you that for a sum of money they can solve your problems is lying. I think that a psychic can be helpful by possibly giving you a different perspective on your difficulties but you should never rely totally on them. Other avenues of help should always be considered also. |
